You may wish to inquire with your GP about your eligibility for a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP). This will enable you to receive a Medicare rebate of $96.65 (for up to 10 sessions per calendar year). If you’re considering accessing therapy via this method, it is worth being aware that my approach tends to lend itself to a consistent longer-term process, which extends beyond the number of sessions supported by Medicare.

With appropriate coverage you will be able to claim rebates through private health insurance, but you will need to discuss and arrange this with your health insurance provider. Claiming both Medicare and private health insurance rebates concurrently for a session is not permitted, however, you may wish to utilise a combination of both throughout the year to maximise the number of rebatable sessions available to you.

You are more than welcome to access therapy without a MHTP referral or private health insurance by paying the full fee privately.
